Water Baptism

WE BELIEVE in water baptism , in the name of Jesus for the remission or payment of sin! The plan of salvation includes repentance, water baptism in the name  of Jesus and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit Acts 2:38, Acts  10:44-48, Acts 19:1-6 John 3:3-6, Titus 3:5

The Name of Jesus

For Jesus is the one referred  to in the Scriptures, where it  says, ‘The stone that you  builders rejected has now  become the cornerstone.’  There is salvation in no one  else! God has given no other  name under heaven by which  we must be saved.” Acts  4:11-12 NLT

Many churches baptize in the  name of the Father, Son and  the Holy Ghost according to  Matthew 28:19 not recognizing that these are  titles or roles and not a name.  When we study scripture  further, we get revelation that  the NAME of the Father, the  Son and the Holy Ghost is  JESUS!

Though you are someone’s  son or daughter, when you  write a check, you must sign  your name to make the  payment valid. You do not  sign with the role you occupy as son or daughter. The  same applies to salvation. It is  the name of Jesus that  makes the payment for our sin valid.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

WE BELIEVE in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues is the initial sign  that a new believer has received the  gift of the Holy Ghost, also known as  the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. Acts  2:16-17

When we speak in tongues, it is our  direct connection to God. Sometimes, we don’t know what to pray for. When  we speak in tongues, we pray the  perfect prayer through the Holy Spirit.  Romans 8:26

We receive spiritual strength when we  pray in tongues. I Corinthians 14:4,  Jude 1:20

What is Apostolic Doctrine?

Simply put, apostolic refers to the apostles who were Jesus’ closest  followers. They witnessed firsthand His life, His ministry, His death,  His burial and His resurrection. They received direct instructions from  Him about what it means to be a follower of Christ or what we call  Christians. They established a doctrine, or system of beliefs, to be  taught to others who want to be Christians. That belief system  includes the following:

All Scripture was written by men but inspired by God. II Timothy 3:16  The Bible is the authority for our standard of living.

There is only One God who expresses Himself as Father in Creation, Son in Redemption and Holy Spirit in Regeneration. Deuteronomy  6:4, I John 5:7, Ephesians 4:6

Jesus is God manifested in a human body. Isaiah 6:9, John 1:1,  Colossians 2:9, John 8:58

Jesus is mankind’s only hope of redemption and salvation. His death  on the cross paid the debt of sin that every person owes. Hebrews  9:22, II Corinthians 5:21, Romans 6:23

The plan of salvation includes repentance, water baptism in the name  of Jesus and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38, Acts  10:44-48, Acts 19:1-6 John 3:3-6, Titus 3:5

I’m a Good Person. Why do I need to be saved?

WE BELIEVE Hell was not designed for you!

Mankind was initially created good and  perfect (Genesis 1:26-31). As a result of  Adam and Eve’s disobedience, man fell  from their holy state, lost their connection  with God, and were driven from the  Garden of Eden. Sin was introduced into  this world by one man’s disobedience (Adam) (Genesis 3:1-7) and the penalty  that sin brings is taken away through one man (Jesus Christ) Romans 5:12-21. By  default, we are born disconnected from  God, but when we accept Jesus, the sin  that separates us from God is removed  and we can reconnect to God the way He  planned.
